Have you met the latest addition to the Origani skin loving family? OzFraiche is our incredible  gel cream moisturiser designed with, and dedicated to, you! Born from our first ever My Origani Creations project, this wonderfully soothing, protecting  and hydrating formula  will be the focus of today’s blog.

What Is OzFraiche?

Featuring a light-weight, non-greasy texture, OzFraiche is a mix of science, love, and your input - and we think that’s pretty awesome!

How? Well, OzFraiche is our revolutionary new cream gel moisturiser but it's also YOUR creation for complete skin protection and comfort. Just over a year ago, we launched Operation Blue Goo and bought you into the lab with us to create the ultimate active skincare tailored to what you told us your skin wants and needs.

The aim of Operation Blue Goo was to create a fabulously hydrating, healing and nurturing product that was suitable for ALL skin types. But we weren’t content there. We wanted the entire formula to be active and we wanted YOU to have input in how everything played out. So we took to our socials and involved you all in the process of selecting the texture, scent, packaging and name. Thus, OzFraiche - and our brand new My Origani Creations collection - were born.

As the first product in the collection, OzFraiche has a lot to live up to, but we think it fits the bill exceptionally well.

We started with a solid foundation of seven superhero ingredients that had our trial panel falling in love the second they laid hands on the testers and built everything from there and now it’s finally time for the big reveal.

What Are These Superhero Ingredients You Mentioned?

OzFraiche is 78.15% organic, 99.03% natural and packed full of delicious skin loving ingredients. The seven main actives in this skin treat are Copper PCA, Hyaluronic Acid, Pentavin, Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Fig and Rose Water. In this section we’ll be going over what each of these hero ingredients actually is and how it can benefit your skin. 

	Copper PCA Copper PCA, which is the compound responsible for the gorgeous blue colour of OzFraiche, offers skin repairing, anti-aging, antibacterial and hydrating benefits. Want more? It’s also great for stimulating cellular repair and collagen production, boosting antioxidants and can help fight hyperpigmentation. The PCA portion of this compound is also a naturally occurring component of the Natural Moisturising Factors (NMF) of the skin. In basic terms, this means that PCA attracts water to, and binds moisture in, your skin and helps keep the building blocks of your epidermal barrier nicely plump and hydrated.
	Hyaluronic Acid Our skin produces Hyaluronic Acid naturally but free radicals and other environmental stressors deplete our production rate and general levels as we age. This is an issue as our complexion requires Hyaluronic Acid to maintain moisture, hydration and plumpness. Topical application of this ingredient promotes soft, smooth skin and can boost hydration levels and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It also features antioxidant properties and can be used on any skin type.
	Pentavitin Pentavitin is a 100% natural and plant-derived active. Carefully crafted from maize kernels, it is a skin identical carbohydrate complex which ensures instant, deep hydration by generating a moisture reservoir that lasts for 72 hours. Once that moisture is in your skin, it becomes trapped by the pentavitin and as a result, the skin barrier is strengthened and protected. This boosts your skin comfort and helps freshen and plump your complexion leaving you with a more youthful appearance and that happy, healthy glow.
	Aloe Vera Aloe Vera is loved for its soothing and cooling abilities (good riddance sunburn) but did you know that it can also help fight off skin infections, works to lock moisture into your skin and can even assist in treating abrasions, more severe burns and ulcers? Abundant in vitamins such as A, B, C, D, & E and minerals including magnesium, potassium and zinc, Aloe Vera offers soothing, moisturising, toning benefits for all skin types, as well as antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
	Chamomile Chamomile is one of the most ancient medicinal herbs known to mankind. Widely used in cosmetic preparations and for its soothing and softening effect on the skin, chamomile also provides antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic benefits. Additionally, formulations containing chamomile extract have been shown to be moderately effective in the treatment of atopic eczema.
	Fig Figs are known in the skincare realm for their great antioxidant properties, high Vitamin A & C concentration and benefits provided by their omega fatty acids. This promotes improved hydration, evens skin tone and helps calm redness. Topical formulations containing fig extract were found to have a positive effect on skin melanin, trans-epidermal water loss, hydration values and sebum content.
	Rose Water Rose Water is great for promoting balance and hydration in your skin. But that’s not all it’s good for. This wonderfully scented water also provides anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits, can help tone skin, assists in unclogging pores and can give your skin’s natural barrier a fabulous boost.

 

How Do I Use OzFraiche?

OzFraiche can be used both morning and night. Simple cleanse with your favourite Origani cleanser then apply a thin layer of this hero moisturiser over the face, neck, and décolletage.
